Effective from February 5, 2026 for sellers who accept these Payments Terms of Use during new seller registration or otherwise on or after that date.
Effective from April 5, 2026 for all other sellers.
1. Introduction
These Payments Terms of Use govern the use of payment services provided through the UK Cartiva platform for sellers who offer products for sale on www.ukcartiva.com.
By registering as a seller and accepting payments through the platform, sellers agree to comply with these terms.
2. Payment Processing
Payments made by customers for products purchased through the UK Cartiva platform may be processed through third-party payment service providers.
By using the platform, sellers authorise UK Cartiva and its payment partners to process transactions, collect payments, and distribute funds in accordance with applicable agreements.
3. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers using the UK Cartiva platform agree to:
- Provide accurate and lawful product listings
- Comply with all applicable consumer protection laws
- Fulfil customer orders in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate payment and account information
- Comply with applicable tax obligations
4. Payment Distribution
Funds received from customer purchases may be held temporarily for processing and verification purposes.
Payments to sellers will be issued in accordance with the platform’s payment schedule and applicable transaction processing procedures.
5. Fees and Charges
UK Cartiva may charge service fees, transaction fees, or other applicable charges related to payment processing and marketplace services.
Applicable fees will be communicated to sellers during registration or within the seller account dashboard.
6. Refunds and Chargebacks
Customer refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may affect seller account balances.
Sellers agree to cooperate with UK Cartiva and payment service providers in resolving payment disputes.
7. Fraud Prevention
UK Cartiva reserves the right to review transactions and take appropriate action where fraudulent, suspicious, or unlawful activity is suspected.
This may include withholding funds temporarily while investigations are conducted.
8. Suspension or Termination
UK Cartiva may suspend or terminate a seller’s access to payment services if the seller violates these terms or engages in activities that pose a risk to customers, the platform, or payment systems.
9. Governing Law
These Payments Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Information on the Right of Withdrawal
Consumer Cancellation Rights – UK Cartiva
1. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which the consumer or a third party (other than the carrier) receives the goods.
2. How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform UK Cartiva of your decision to cancel the contract by a clear statement (for example by email).

3. Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from a contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (where applicable).
Refunds will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or proof that the goods have been returned.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
4. Return of Goods
You must send back the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you notify us of the withdrawal.
The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired.
Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise specified by the retailer.
5. Liability for Diminished Value
Consumers are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to certain types of contracts, including:
- Custom-made or personalised goods
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for hygiene reasons once opened
- Perishable goods
- Digital content once the download or streaming has begun
